Asotre is an administrative district of Diamir division of Gilgit Baltistan. It is famous for lakes, Deosai plain, minimarg and Rama Lake. Rama valley is thickly forested with pine, cedar & junipar trees. Rama Valley is 10,800 feet above sea level and becomes lush gree during summers. From here one can trek to east side of the Nanga Parbat which is 9th highest mountain.
