Naran is the main town of Naran Kaghan valley located at a distance of 220 km & some 8 hours drive from Islamabad with an elevation of 8,202 feet above sea level. Naran Kaghan valley offers attractive sight seeing of lake Saiful Malook, Luluzar Lake, Dudupatsar Lake, Lalazar, Batakundi & Babusar top. Naran Kaghan attracts thousands of tourists, trekkers, photographers and nature-enthusiast, to witness its beauty. Kunhar is the main river passing through this valley, fed by melting glaciers & it runs parallel to Neelum Valley AJK separated by snow covered peaks.
From Sharda Neelum valley one can trek to lalazar of Naran valley. Budget to luxurious hotels are available in Naran for Tourist during their visit to Kaghan valley and Lake Saiful Malook. Hiking, trekking, and off-roading Lake Saif-ul-Maluk Naran to Lake Saif-ul-Malook dusty jeep track is approximately 9 km in length with hiking difficulty level ranging from easy to medium. It can be traveled by jeep in one Hour. Net elevation gain is around 700m. Ansu Lake Ansu is tear shaped high-altitude Lake situated adjacent to Malika Parbat. It can be reached via 11 km trail starting at Saif-ul-Malook.
Shogran is a hill station in Kaghan valley located at 212 km & some 6 hours driver from Islamabad, at the height of 7,749 ft above sea level. Shogran is a true tourist paradise for holiday makers and well known for its view of Malika-e-Parbat, highest peak of Kaghan valley. Shogran was a popular shooting place of Pakistani film industry during 90s. A 212 km metalled road leads to Kiwai from Islamabad, and shogran in 10 Km from kiwai. From Shogran, you can ride a jeep or horse or hike to several picturesque places like Siri,Paye and Makra Peak. Some very famous hotels are available there and you can enjoy unforgeable scenes of sun rise and sunset. The local people are friendly and peaceful.

Travel Information
Naran is a summer resort and it remained open for only 5 month during whole year so not many people lives here during winter. On way to Naran come Balakot and Manshera with rich tradition and culture. It is in Balakot where you can find Mausoleum of Shah Wali Ul Allah, great warrior of Mughal period who fought against Maratha regime. Balakot is famous for its Chapili Kabab, It is a must for beef lovers
